We Will Not Be Stopped

Unsettling stiffness,

No I don’t know the cause.

There’s a knot in my neck.

Is this where my stress hides?

Not so much in the mind

But in the body this time?

The neck is truly a pillar

A column, here for support

I lean on it so much, too much

I feel when it hurts.

Now when I look to my side,

In the morn’ as I rise

There’s a knot that resides

Behind, right on the left side,

But I just keep on moving,

I must keep on moving.

So I’ll wake another day

Struggle to look another way

'Til I unravel this knot.
